The Rajasthan High Court is the High Court for the state of Rajasthan, India. The court was started on 21st June 1949 under the Rajasthan High Court Act, 1949. The seat of the Rajasthan High Court is located at Jodhpur. The 5 High Courts functioning in the different units of States were at Jaipur and Bikaner, Jodhpur, the High Court of former Rajasthan and Matsya Union. The Rajasthan High Court Ordinance which was established in 1949 abolished these various jurisdictions and provided for a single high court for the entire state. Kamala Kant Varma was the first Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.
